"How much does your own SMM panel cost" is a question adverts answer with a single number. That number almost always refers to one thing only: a licence, a child panel, or the first month of a rental. Real launch cost has at least five components, and some of them appear only after you start.
How much do SMM panels cost: what the price is made of
- The panel engine — a script licence, a child panel, or a rental.
- Infrastructure — server, domain, SSL certificate, attack protection, backups.
- Working capital — a balance with providers, out of which customer orders are fulfilled.
- Customer acquisition — advertising, content, time.
- Your own time — the most underrated line: setup, support, troubleshooting.
The first two depend heavily on the route you pick; the other three are the same whichever you choose.
Route one: buy a script
There is a separate breakdown of this route on our SMM panel script page. In short: you pay once for the licence, and then everything else begins. You need a server with a configured environment, a domain, SSL issuance and renewal, scheduled background jobs, a protected admin area, backups and somewhere to keep them. Engine updates are applied by hand, and a skipped update is not just missing features but an open vulnerability.
The monthly server bill arrives whether you had turnover or not. That is why the licence is rarely the main expense: it is one-off, while infrastructure is permanent.
Route two: a child panel
The cheapest way in. You get a storefront tied to somebody else's panel: catalogue, providers and wholesale prices all come from above. The saving is real, but you pay for it in flexibility — you cannot change provider or influence the wholesale price.
Route three: renting
With a turnkey panel, infrastructure is part of the price: server, unmetered traffic, SSL, DDoS protection, backups and engine updates. There is nothing separate to buy or configure, and the domain you connect is your own.
Our tariff counts orders created during the month, and only those routed to third-party providers. Up to 100 such orders a month is free; above that the plan is picked by volume automatically — 101 to 1,000 orders cost 12 dollars a month, 1,001 to 10,000 cost 25, and 10,001 to 100,000 cost 40. The plan steps back down just as automatically when volume falls. Orders fulfilled through our own provider, Heroverin SMM, are not billed at all, so buying services from us keeps the panel free at any volume.
Hidden costs nobody advertises
Some lines never make it into a price list but show up for everyone.
- Provider balance. The customer pays you, you pay the provider. There is always a gap between those two events, and something has to cover it.
- Refunds and partial delivery. Some orders will not complete in full, and compensating that comes out of your margin.
- Payment gateway fees. Calculating margin without them is the classic beginner's mistake.
- Being on call. If a panel on your own server goes down at night, you are the one bringing it back.
What it really takes
The honest answer: the minimum today is set not by the engine but by working capital and advertising. The engine can be free, and infrastructure comes with it. Everything else depends on how fast you find your first customers, and that costs time and money in every scenario.
Every route to a panel, custom development included, is compared in how to create an SMM panel.
So in 2026 the better question is not "what does a panel cost" but "what do I lose if the first months are empty". With a flat subscription the answer is the full amount, every month. With volume-based billing it is zero.
